Cathy's Closet is actually the first I Love Lucy store in existence! Cathy started this business with only a handful of Lucy products -in 1992 - through her sheer love of I Love Lucy herself! From a handful of magnets, tee-shirts, and a couple of ties, it is hard to believe how things have grown to include all the wonderful Lucy products that we have now!
As you can see, Lucie Arnaz gave us a wonderful quote, "The only closet with more authentic Lucy items than Cathy's was my mother's!" It was so exciting and sweet to have her make such a nice statement about us! She said it was absolutely true, so it popped immediately into her head as the perfect thing to say about us. To be compared in the same sentence with Lucy is such a thrill and honor! Since the creation of Cathy's Closet, Cathy was chosen as the store for Lucie Arnaz's CD rom, and has been interviewed by numerous newpapers and news shows, and radio stations. From the LA times, to a Dallas CBS news show, to Bloomington, Indiana and a Canadian newspaper and more, Cathy's Closet has been written about and Cathy has been interviewed as the founder of America's First, and Favorite, I Love Lucy Store - your one-stop Lucy shop. We were recently actually mentioned in the 50th anniversary TV guide which featured Lucy, written about in the new "Official 50th Anniversary I Love Lucy Book", and seen on the CBS I Love Lucy television special when Dick Van Dyke introduced the 'Lucy collectibles' now available. Do you have vintage Lucy items you would like to sell? Are you looking for vintage I Love Lucy products?
This is the place! Please remember, only "vintage" I Love Lucy products are allowed -- do not post any Lucy product that is still available on Cathy's website. For example, you have a Barbie #3 you would like to sell, and Cathy's website shows them forever sold out and retired, you CAN list this product; however, if you have an old Candy Factory music box, for instance, which is no longer available for purchase on the market today, but Cathy's Closet does still show as an in-stock item, you CANNOT post this item. If you are not 'sure' about an item, please email Cathy's Closet first for approval.

We package and ship orders every Monday through Friday, so depending on the time of day you placed this order (on in-stock items), it will be going out today or tomorrow. Orders placed on Friday afternoon, Saturday or Sunday will go out Monday. We have a wonderful system which allows us to notify you via email when we ship your order out so that you don't have to wait and wonder, and you will know exactly when your order is on it's way, with all the necessary tracking information being sent in the email. You'll be notified promptly if there are any questions or problems; otherwise, your order will be on its way - we ship fast :) and all orders are insured!
If you have a P.O. box address, please, give us a physical street address, if possible. USPS charges $10 to deliver to a P.O. box, so we will have to add the $10 to your total order if you can't give us another address to use. I'm sorry for this, but we have to pass along their costs. :( Also, on 99% of orders, we can use one box, but sometimes we have to use two depending on what your order consists of. Therefore, if we have to use two boxes on your order because of an oversized item like a chair, there will be an additional $5.00 added to your shipping charge to help cover the cost of the second box. On in-stock orders, please allow one to five working days to receive your order. We are located in Texas, and on orders located in closely surrounding states, expect your order within a day to three days or so. Orders going closer to the east and west coasts take about three to four working days or so (depending on how fast USPS is running). We do offer overnight, 2nd day air and three day special shipments for an extra cost - you will see these options for a nominal fee on the order form if you would like to use. If you need to check the status of an order for any reason, please email us with the first and last name on the shipping address, along with your question, and we will be happy to respond - or call us toll free!
