Using the book, "How to Keep Your Honeymoon From Ending" as her guide, Lucy attempts to win back Ricky's attention by sharing in his interests (the "Be A Pal" System).  So as part of this system, Lucy decorates the apartment like his childhood home in Cuba and dresses up like Carmen Miranda (the Brazilian bombshell popular in Hollywood films from the 1940s).

Carmen Miranda was best known for her large, flamboyant headdresses of real fruit and platform sandals.

This episode continually ranks as one of the top 10 I Love Lucy episodes of all time.
